Last week I’ve attended two meetings concerning the job hunting. On Wednesday I had a motivational workshop in The Hague. The location was in the Haagse Toren, a 130-meter-high tower. We were upgraded to the 40th floor! The view was amazing! 😀 You could see Rotterdam, The Hague, Scheveningen, the beach and sea and Delft.
There were 12 people and we discussed several aspects in finding a job. It’s nice to hear all the different experiences of those persons. Everybody has their own obstacles in the search for a job, but overall the problems are the same.
A meeting of Young & Driven was organized on Friday. Unfortunately we had a couple of last minute cancellations, but that wouldn’t affect the mood. We exchanged tips & tricks, discussed the many ways of contacting employers, shared our experiences with writing a cover letter and resume and the feedback you receive after applying for a job. We also practiced a job interview, which was really instructive.
The motto while looking for a job is ‘Don’t give up’, especially nowadays with some many people competing for so few jobs. You really have to stand out and challenge yourself. So that’s what I’m going to work on…
