Having dinner with ‘strangers’

I’m getting old. That’s what I realized when I met someone again with whom I have traveled 13 years ago.

The reason we saw each other after such a long time is her initiative to organize ‘open dinners’ for, well, everyone who is interested. Neighbors, family, friends, colleagues, everybody is welcome. The initiative is called ‘How was your day?’ and is meant to bring people together. Yesterday was the kick off dinner.

I really support her project and that’s why I visited her to join her open dinner. She is a great cook, I must say! I told her that I would promote her on my blog and I keep my promise. Her name is Annelies van Dijk and you can follow her blog about ‘How was your day?’ here (Dutch).

And off course , for me it was a perfect opportunity to let the present people know that I’m looking for a job. Networking really is fun and is possible everywhere!
